Was traveling with my mom in my Infinity when dashboard lit up.. not being very familiar with auto, was referred to Grimes Auto Service. I called and spoke with John and explained my issues, he calmly stayed on the phone with me as I was luckily exiting off 75 in Tifton, He safely got us to garage, they were extremely busy, yet kindly drive us to our hotel and said he’d get to the next day. To my shock, about 2 hours later John called me so ‘I could sleep better’ saying he was able to check car on computer, saw issue and already ordered parts to arrive the next am, I was beyond pleased, as if he did not go the extra mile, I very well could have been there thru weekend as it was Thursday. Friday as promised received call car was done, they kindly came to pick me up, and mom and I were on our way. I HIGHLY recommend Grimes Auto Service, John and his staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a safe car to get us on our way, we can’t say enough to thank them all. As busy as I knew they were, they all went above and beyond, Any car repair needs, definitely use Grimes.

My daughter, 2 year old grandson, and dog left Florida ahead of Hurricane Irma and spent a week with relatives just south of Atlanta. On the trip home on 9.14.17 it looked like smooth sailing when we hit I-75 and saw that there was no more traffic than a normal day. For about an hour - then the A/C in the car decided to quit. And yes it is still hot in GA. We tracked down Grimes Auto Service in Tifton, GA. I called from the car, told owner Gary our sad story and he said "come on in". We invaded their office where the daughter-in-law of this family run business, Heather, helped entertain our grandson while Gary and crew quickly got to work on the Honda(even though all their bays were already full). Less than an hour later and a Freon fill-up, they had us back on the road again. The bill- $27. That's right $27, not $270. Seriously - hard to believe even the Freon was that cheap. What about the hour of labor? I fully expected someone to try to take advantage of our situation. These people will never see us again and yet they treated us with honesty, kindness and compassion. My only regret - we don't live close enough to give them all our business. Thank You and God Bless You!

On Thursday March 2nd while traveling north from Southern Florida I experienced a disabling loss of my braking system while on the interstate. After notifying my road side service they immediately went to work finding a garage that could receive me and get me back onto the 1000 miles of roadway that I still had before me.



Enter Grimes Auto Service. Not only did they get to me right away - but they were waiting for the tow truck to arrive. (This was certainly NOT due to their lack of business, as even the truck driver expressed concern that the business looked too busy to take on another vehicle) - this however, was not the case.



My entire experience with Grimes was 5 star. They treated me with the up most respect (which once again, being a solo female traveler in an unfamiliar area dealing with auto issues can be any woman's nightmare.)



Heather in the office area was a real joy to converse with (during my 5 hour stay with Grimes) - she even offered to go out and get me lunch, as there were no eating establishments in the immediate area. The rest of the crew, including the owner kept me informed throughout the period as to what my problems were, solutions and possible potential future troubles. And in the event that lack of my correct parts or potential problems further hindered the repair - Heather had already offered to get me to a local hotel for the night.



Their prices were very fair, their work very good and their care of their customers excellent (as I witnessed many coming in and out during my stay.) The best compliment that I can pay these folks is that if my daughter were in the same situation I would want this family business to be the ones to help her out.

My husband and I stopped for the night at Tifton and when he backed the truck into a parking place it shut off and would not crank again. Everything was closed it being Sunday so we looked on internet and found GMC and Chevrolet dealers but they didn't open till 9 or 10 and Grimes opened at 7.30 so we called on Monday and they came and towed our truck to shop about 8 and we were back on the road by 11. They were all friendly and helpful, if I needed an auto repair in Tifton Ga again I would use them. Thanks again Grimes Auto repair.

We were driving through southern Georgia on Spring Break when one of our party rear-ended another car. We soon started leaking coolant and were able to make it to Grimes at about 4:10 on a Friday afternoon (the Chrysler dealership down the road told us over the phone there was no way they could work us in till Monday). We explained our situation to the owner and his son (Gary and Chris) - we were on our way from Indiana to southern Florida. They looked the car over and were able to hammer the hood and the radiator back into place and replace the hose which caused the leak - luckily the radiator itself was not damaged. We were back on the road around 5:30 and I think they charged us $135. It was dumb luck (or divine intervention) as we simply googled auto repair and they happened to be the closest place (very near the interstate) but this place saved us from spending the weekend in Georgia waiting to get our car repaired. We made it to Florida and back without any further problems. As if this wasn't enough to make me realize this was a top notch place, while we were waiting for our repairs to be done a steady flow of local customers were coming in to pick up their cars (it being the end of the day). They were all highly complimentary of Grimes and it had the feel of a real small town repair shop where locals all take their cars.

I will ONLY take my care to Gary and his crew...I know it will be taken care of for an honest fee. I appreciate their friendliness and honesty. They will work me in with emergencies and that shows they care!

Where do I start to tell you about piece of mind. Mr. Grimes takes care of servicing my wife's vehicle and always goes the extra mile! See she works in Tifton, I work in Albany so I'm usually an hour away from her when she has car trouble. I am so thankful for a place I can send my wife to that's takes it very seriously that she needs a safe vehicle to travel in and always goes that extra mile to make sure she is taken care of. It gives me a great piece of mind to know that she has somewhere honest to take her vehicle for service and that treats everyone, men and women the same and doesn't try to take advantage of her.
